Top 5 Worst Performing McLaren Drivers By Brian Cotnoir Another one of F1’s Most Successful Teams of All-Time, the McLaren team has given us some of the best drivers of All-Time including Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, and Lewis Hamilton.   Really when you look at their history, they haven’t hired a lot of bad drivers—which is good for them—they’ve had a couple slumps in their history, but even at their worst they still had many reliable drivers, so this article was a lot more difficult to compile than my previous article on Williams Grand Prix, but I managed to find a few drivers.   Just keep in mind these aren’t necessarily bad drivers, they were just bad when they drove at McLaren 5.)   Kevin Magnussen, 1 Season, Best Finish of 2nd place, 55 Total Points. Kevin Magnussen seemed destined for success with he finished in 2 nd place in his first Grand Prix race ever with McLaren.   However after his first season with the team, he was eventually dropped in favor of 2-time W

Top 5 Worst Performing Williams Grand Prix Drivers By Brian Cotnoir Well I’ve been going after NASCAR drivers for quite some time now, so I figured it’s only fair that I start talking about Formula 1 drivers now.   This is going to be a new series I’m going to be writing for Sports Shorts, where I look at the Worst Performing drivers in the history of F1 teams (Past & Present).   Now, just because a driver makes this list doesn’t mean they’re necessarily a bad driver; they team could have been going through a slump, their bad season could have been caused by technical or engine problems, or it could have been during the teams early growing pains years.   So just keep stuff like that in mind.   I mean Michael Schumacher was the greatest driver of All-Time at both Benneton and Ferrari, but when he came out of retirement to drive for Mercedes, he accomplished next to nothing with them. So I decided to start out with one of the Best and Most Successful teams in Formula 1

The Top 10 Most Iconic Paint Schemes in NASCAR Cup History An Article by Brian Cotnoir I’ve talked about the Best Paint Schemes in Cup History, I’ve talked about the Best Paint Schemes in Xfinity History, and now today I’d like to present you the 10 Most Iconic Paint Schemes in NASCAR Cup History. 10.) Citgo, Wood Brothers Racing The Wood Brothers are one of the oldest teams in NASCAR, and in the late 80’s early 90’s they left quite the impression on NASCAR fans with the Citgo Paint Scheme which was piloted by drivers Dale Jarret, Morgan Shepherd, and Michael Waltrip.   Citgo eventually left the wood brothers and sponsored Jeff Burton at Roush Racing, but it was a truly iconic sponsor with that famous number twenty-one 9.)    Skoal Bandit, Harry Gant Harry Gant earned the nickname “Mr. September” when he won 4 straight Winston Cup Races (and two Busch Series) races in September of 1991, and he did it all behind the wheel of the Iconic Skoal Bandit race car.

The Top 5 Worst Drivers in the History of Richard Childress Racing

The Top 5 Worst Drivers in the History of Richard Childress Racing An Article by Brian Cotnoir           I have to give credit to owner Richard Childress, in a sport where you are expected to perform well and challenge for wins and top 10’s every race, he is one of the few owners who take time to develop his driver’s talent.   He ran a herd of drivers through the Truck and Xfinity series before giving them a chance in with his Cup team.   Sometimes he got an immediate return like with Kevin Harvick, and other times he had to wait a while for the payoff like with Clint Bowyer, Austin Dillon, and Jeff Burton.   Richard Childress is one of the—if not the most loyal—owner in the NASCAR garage who has a history of giving drivers the first and in many other cases their 2 nd chance in NASCAR.   With that being said he has also hired a few drivers, who just didn’t pan out for him.   Again, I’m not saying that these are bad drivers; I’m just saying that they were bad when they drove fo

The Top 5 Worst Drivers in the History of Roush Fenway Racing An Article by Brian Cotnoir So this is a new series I’m going to be starting, the premise is simple I will be counting down the 5 Worst Drivers on various NASCAR teams (Past and Present).   Now just to clarify, I’m not necessarily saying these drivers are all bad.   In Many instances these drivers have had some moderate success in a lower tier form of NASCAR or another form of racing like Indy Car, USAC, Formula 1, or ARCA, but for whatever reason they had little to no success with certain teams; maybe it was the drivers fault, maybe it was a clash with the crew chief or owner, maybe they were just hired to drive because they brought sponsorship to the table, or maybe they just had rotten luck, whatever it is these drivers did not have a lot of success driving for Roush Fenway Racing. #5.) Johnny Benson Johnny Benson is a Champion in NASCAR’s Busch (Now Xfinity) Series and the Camping World (now Gander Outdoo
