5 “Up & Coming” Drivers You Should be Following on Social Media

An Article by Brian Cotnoir

No matter what form of Auto Racing you watch it seems everyone’s always on the lookout for the next Jeff Gordon, or Kyle Busch, or Chase Elliot.  Who is going to be the Next Biggest Star in Racing?  I had been a fan of driver Alex Bowman going back to his racing days at RAB Racing in the #99 Toyota, and I was telling everyone for years that someday he was going to have a full-time ride in NASCAR, and by the good grace of God he ended up in Dale Jr.’s old ride Hendrick Motorsports.  Well I’ve got 5 more drivers that you should be on the lookout for and following on Social Media so you can personally witness their rise to glory.

1.)  Travis Braden

Presently driver for the #27 RFMS Racing team in the ARCA Racing Series, Braden won his first ARCA race in his first ever start in a Self-Owned Car at IRP.   He’s run a handful of races in a car sponsored by the University of West Virginia (of which he is a graduate student), and scored his first full-time ride at RFMS racing this year, where he has accumulated 7-Top 10’s, and has a season high finish of 4th at Pocono.  Hopefully Braden can recapture some of his early success in the ARCA series.  He’s also tested Super Late Model’s for Kyle Busch.

2.)  Bobby Pierce

A Dirt Track Racer from Illinois, Bobby Pierce is one of the best on the circuit…and he’s only 21.  Pierce almost shocked the racing world by winning the Prestigious Eldora Dirt Derby in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in his 1st ever start!   Pierce would finish 2nd to another Dirt Track Super star, Christopher Bell.   Pierce has run a handful of Truck Series races, and has 2-Top 10’s.  He’s also been running Dirt Races all over the Midwest.  I think he definitely deserves a Full-Time Ride in either ARCA or the Truck Series.

3.)  Justin Bonsignore

A driver from New York State in the Whelen Modified Series, driver Justin Bonsignore has already achieved 16 wins in the series (including 4 this year), and as of the publishing of this article is the Present leader in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Points Standings.  I think Bonsignore could take his 1st championship in the series this year.

4.)  Natalie Decker

The obvious choice would’ve been to say Hailie Deegan, but she’s already got future NASCAR potential listed, but want to know whose not getting enough attention this season, Natalie Decker.  She scored the Pole for the 2018 ARCA race at Daytona (where she finished 5th).   She’s driving the presitigous #25 car for Venturini Motorsports in the ARCA Racing Series and is a consistent runner in the Top 10!   Let’s hope that Natalie Decker can exceed the hopes and expectations that everyone had for Danica Patrick.

5.)  Jesse Little

The son of former NASCAR Driver, Chad Little, his son Jesse Little is trying to make a name for himself in the Truck Series driving part-time for his family owned team.  Little already has 4 Top-10’s this season in a Part-Time Ride.  He is showing a lot of potential and I think could be the next John Hunter Nemecheck if he could just get some sponsorship and full-time ride.   It’s always nice to see the child of a former driver trying to make it in the sport.
