The 5 Most Surprising Champions in NASCAR History By: Brian Cotnoir For Pretty Much All of NASCAR History the Series Champion did go to the Best driver in the Series throughout the season, unfortunately that NASCAR decided to shake things up a bit and completely screw with the points so it doesn’t even matter who has the most wins or the most consistent results they’ve got this “knock-out” playoff system so one bad race can mean you get screwed on your entire season.   Recently we’ve seen drivers like William Byron, Erik Jones, and Christopher Bell be completely screwed out of Championships in the Gander Outdoor Truck Series and the Xfinity Series despite having the most wins and most top 5’s that season because apparently the only race on the schedule that really matters is the series finale.   But believe it or not, there was a time when NASCAR would just let teams and drivers race and wouldn’t attempt to manipulate the points or institute any mid-season rule changes—ahh

The Ultimate F1 Championship (Part 2) An Article By Brian Cotnoir Welcome Back!   If you enjoyed my last article, then I really hope you’ll enjoy part 2 of my Ultimate F1 Championship.   So the teams have been decided by country and the Pre-Season Rankings have been announced let’s see how all 13 of these teams would do in a 25 race season; a mixture of Present Days Grand Prix and Former Grand Prix Circuits, just to keep things interesting.   Points Scoring Was determined in the following Way. ·          Top 3 finishers are determined by highest number wins at a Grand Prix Circuit. ·          In the event two drivers tie for a spot for most wins at a Grand Prix, then the tie breaker will factor in what driver had the highest number of podiums in that Grand Prix (and in the rare event there is a tie there too, the tie breaker will go to the driver with the highest average finish) ·          Only the Top 3 receive points and the points are based on the Present Day Point

The Ultimate F1 Championship (Part 1) An Article by Brian Cotnoir Well the New F1 Season is a little bit more than 2 weeks away, and it got me thinking.   Today I get to witness some of the best drivers in the world like Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton, and Kimi Raikonen, but I can’t help but wonder how these stars would have fared against the stars of the past like Michael Schumacher, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna, and Juan Manuel Fangio.   So I decided to do a little experiment.    I’ve decided to create a Fictional Fantasy F1 season that pairs up 2 drivers from the same country on each team.   (13 teams; 26 drivers in total).    Then I would see how they would do based on the circuits of the Past and Present and assign them points based on their performance to find out not only who is the Best Formula 1 Driver, but what country would form the best Formula 1 team. So before I introduce the teams, let me explain the method to my madness.    I paired up who I consider to be th
