An Article by Brian Cotnoir           There’s no doubt about it; Race Car drivers are some of the most interesting people in all of Pro-Sports.   Depending on the type of racing, these brave men (and a few pioneering women) travel at spends between 130-330 MPH (depending on their particular type of racing).  Auto Racing is one of the most dangerous sports, and is one of only two sports (the other being Professional Boxing), where there is no guarantee you’ll finish the event alive.  If you’re a professional race car driver you have to be—virtually—fearless, and there have been some amazing drivers, who have had some amazing careers.   And some have gone on to not really have amazing careers, but… well let’s say interesting careers nonetheless, and today I’m here to talk about a driver with one of the—if not the most interesting—racing career...

An Article by Brian Cotnoir Oh NASCAR...what the hell are you doing?   A playoff Race on a Road Course?  At Charlotte Motor Speedway?  Seriously?   I mean, a good chunk of us Fans have been wanting to see a Road Course Race in the Playoffs for quite some time, but doing it at a track that was designed as an oval for the 1st time, I don't think you understand the damage implications this race could have. I think that this road course race in Charlotte is going to be a disaster!  Why couldn't you have just moved the Watkins Glen or Infineon Weekend to the playoffs? At least drivers have experience at those tracks.  Hell even tracks like Road America, or Circuit Gilles Villeneueve? Anything makes more sense than having a Road Course Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway! To me, this move reeks of desperation, and I think that 10+ years down the road, we will all be regarding this decision as one of the biggest quagmires in the history of NASCAR....

Alan & Davey 25 Years Later, A Tribute By Brian Cotnoir           In sports, the greats always seem to be linked to each other.   In Basketball you think Magic Johnson & Larry Bird, in Baseball you think Red Sox vs. Yankees, in Hockey you think Alexander Ovechkin & Sidney Crosby, and auto racing is no exception to that rule.    Over seven decades we’ve seen many great rivalries link drivers together from Richard Petty & David Pearson,   Rusty Wallace & Darrell Waltrip, and Dale Earnhardt Sr. and …well everyone!   These rivalries weren’t necessarily between competitors who hated each other, but just drivers who competed against one another with fierce intensity. How to (hopefully) save NASCAR An Article by Brian Cotnoir NASCAR was once the Most Widely Popular “Spectator Sport”.    For Years they had great success in the mainstream and attracted people from all walks of Life.   However sometime between 2006-2008, their popularity began to dwindle and it’s been on the steady decline and now is up for sale.   Personally, I think that’s a good thing.   I think the sooner we get the France/Kennedy Family out of NASCAR the better, because then we can hopefully save this amazing sport that I’ve loved for my entire life.   But to whomever does by NASCAR here are some suggestions I have for you to save the sport. 1.) Do Away with Stage Racing! OH MY GAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHDDDD is this dumb!   Here’s the thing: when stage racing was 1 st introduced it was confusing to me, the Diehard fan, so how the hell can you expect to attract new fans, when your present fans don’t even understand what the hell is going ...

So we fans were once again treated to another excited Overtime Finish at Daytona International Speedway, and Rookie driver Justin Haley made an amazing move going through the tri-oval that propelled him from 4th to 1st........too bad he went below the yellow lines and had his Win Nullified.  This may come as a shock to some of you, but I AGREE with NASCAR's ruling.  The absolutely made the right call with that one.  Even in the moments and hours since the race ended there's been a lot of discussions on-line on whether or not NASCAR made the right call.   I've heard some people say they that NASCAR "gave the win" to Kyle Larson because his sponsor (DC Solar) has brought more sponsorship dollars to the sport than Haley's sponsor (Fraternal Order of Eagles), but I don't agree with that. He Had Plenty of Room to stay on track; Right Call, NASCAR. To me the ruling in the book is pretty clear.  I've felt like ever since Regan Smith had his win taken...
