Top 5 Best NASCAR Truck Series Drivers

Image
Top 5 Best NASCAR Truck Series Drivers List Compiled by Brian Cotnoir           In my (not so) humble opinion, one of the Best things NASCAR ever did was approve the creation of the Craftsman (Now Camping World) Truck Series.    Since it’s inception in 1995, the Truck Series has go on to launch the career of many talented NASCAR Cup Level Drivers including, Brad Keselowski, Kurt & Kyle Busch, Greg Biffle, Ryan Blaney, and Austin Dillon.   The series has also served as   career rejuvenator for many former Cup Drivers such Ted Musgrave and Johnny Benson, and Bobby Hamilton.        Now the Truck Series has only been around for 23 years (as of my typing of this article), but it still has given us and in my opinion produces the Best and Most Exciting Racing in all of NASCAR, and today I am here to honor the Best Truck Drivers in Series so far.   Now a disclaimer first: ...

2018 NASCAR MID-SEASON REPORT

Image
2018 Midseason Winners & Losers Well, not technically the Official Midway Point of this 2018 NASCAR Season, I figured now is just as good as ever to talk about some of the Winners & Losers of this 2018 NASCAR season across the Top 3 Series. CAMPING WORLD TRUCKS SERIES WINNERS ·          Johnny Sauter is dominating the Truck Season so far and is looking to return as Series Champion at GMS Racing ·          Stewart Friesen had a stellar race at Texas and just came up short of the victory in a Team he Co-Owns LOSERS The Fans.  Not a lot to cheer about in the Truck Series so far this season. XFINITY SERIES WINNERS ·           Tyler Reddick :  Following in the foot steps of Past Xfinity Series Champions Chase Elliot and William Byron and while being teammates with annual Championship contenders, Elliott Sadler and Justin Allgaier...

Top 10 Busch/Nationwide/Xfinity Series Paint Schemes

Top 10 Busch/Nationwide/Xfinity Series Paint Schemes List Compiled by Brian Cotnoir So in my last list, I counted down the Top 10 Best Paint Schemes in NASCAR....well I realized I should've called it the best Cup Car Paint Schemes, because I completely negated some of the Great Paint Schemes from NASCAR's 2nd Tier Series (Busch/Nationwide/Xfinity).  However, in my defense, that series has only been around since 1982, and many of the great paint schemes run in the series are identical to some of the Best Cup Series Paint Schemes.  So just a little fill in before you read this list.  Because a lot of the early Busch Series drivers didn't run weekly, I will consider paint schemes run on partial schedules.  I also will allow paint schemes run by multiple drivers in the series, but I will be excluding any paint schemes that were just copies of Cup Series Paint Schemes.  So here is my list of the Top 10 Best Busch/Nationwide/Xfinity Series Paint Schemes #10.) A...

My Thoughts on the NFL Fining Players who don't Stand for the Nat'l Anthem

Image
So the NFL recently came down with its decision to fine players and/or teams who sit or take a knee during the National Anthem this year.   I have to say, I’m truly disappointed with the NFL’s decision.   Their feelings on the matter were made very clear with this decision; Roger Goodell and the NFL owners care more about Profits than the human rights violations committed against Black NFL players and People of Color around the country.   At the same time, I’m not surprised they reached this decision; I mean we all knew Goodell is WEAK .   So we have to ask ourselves; where does this leave us fans of Professional Football?   How can we stand by and support a league that says Screw You to the U.S. Constitution and Freedom of Speech in favor of protecting their own personal business interests?   Not to mention, ignores 4 centuries of hardship, suffering, and the pain of a large population of the United States. Win, Lose, Tie, Stand, or Kneel I support...

Top 10 Best NASCAR Paint Schemes

Top 10 Best NASCAR Paint Schemes A List compiled by Brian Cotnoir Since the days of Winston Cigarettes, NASCAR has been a haven for Advertising.    Most NASCAR fans can associate their favorite Products with a NASCAR driver's sponsor.  If I say STP motor oil, practically every NASCAR fan thinks, Richard Petty.  If I say Budweiser Beer, every NASCAR fan will tell you Dale Earnhardt Jr or Kevin Harvick (or Darrel Waltrip or Bill Elliot if you're an Old School NASCAR fan).  Dupont= Jeff Gordon, Valvoline=Mark Martin, and Denny Hamlin=FedEx.   And over the years, those sponsors have given us some pretty Iconic Paint Schemes.  Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s iconic Black #3, Richard Petty's Petty Blue #43 winning 200 races, and Jeff Gordon's Rainbow Warrior Paint scheme.  So, today, I am paying homage to the Best Paint Schemes in NASCAR History. Now a little clarification first: 1.) These are my Personal Opinion,  so I'm sure some of you will have...

My Thoughts on Spencer Gallagher's Suspension

Image
An Article By Brian Cotnoir So today, we got the very surprising news that Xfinity driver, Spencer Gallagher was suspended for failing NASCAR's substance abuse policy.  The news comes as a even bigger shock, since Gallagher's 1st win in the Xfinity Series came just days before his failed drug test.  It has not been disclosed what "banned" substance Gallagher tested positive for, I've had some of my friends suspect that it was possibly Adderall, why I myself suspect it might have been a celebratory toke of weed.  I can NOT confirm any of this, seeing as I have not spoken to NASCAR or any of Spencer Gallagher's representatives, and this is all just our own speculations. Gallagher is not the first driver to be suspended for testing positive for a banned substance.  Other more notable drivers to have been subjected to NASCAR suspensions for drug violations include Tyler Walker, Jeremy Mayfield, and AJ Allmendinger. The saddest part is that this failed drug te...

If I were to Build a NASCAR team...

If I were to Build a NASCAR Team.... By: Brian Cotnoir It's a scenario most die hard NASCAR fans have run through in their minds: If I were to put together a NASCAR team, who would I put on my team.  Most people would probably say that they'd have Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Kyle Larson, Jimmie Johnson, Chase Elliot, Martin Truex Jr., or Denny Hamlin on their teams, but let's be realistic: Unless you were a billionaire who didn't care about spending money, there is no way you could convince those drivers to be on your team. No if you were to start up a NASCAR team (in any of the top 3 series), you'd be starting at the bottom, and unless you had some Big Brand Name corporate sponsor backing up your team, you're going to be hurting financially to get your team going.  If I were to win 100 Million dollars in Power ball (after I get devastated in taxes) one of the first things I'd want to do with that prize money is start a NASCAR team (just like Joe Denett...
